On October 19, 2024, we hosted the Furusato Film Festival, featuring two captivating short films: "Whale Island Tokunoshima" and "Tokunoshima, the Island of Bull-Sumo." These films are part of a series dedicated to regional revitalization, showcasing the beauty, local products, and tourist destinations of Tokunoshima. A hidden gem with a population of around 20,000, Tokunoshima is overflowing with nature and hospitality, and is the hometown of Mitsuyasu Shigeta, the founder of the Los Angeles Shin-Sen-Gumi Restaurant Group.
